I Watch You

Shot in a day on location, in a stunning but haunted stately home, (Westholme Hall), with a band barely conscious and still recovering from playing at Leeds Festival the day before.

The aesthetic was inspired by 1970’s Hammer Horror films, especially the Devil Rides Out, as well as the films of Dario Argento.

The whole thing was storyboarded, and we pretty much got all the shots bar a few, as one of the band members didn’t wake up until the afternoon.

With just a crew of three (me as Director/DOP, my long term collaborator Jamie handling lighting and everything else, and MUA Dodi Platts); we shot on Sony FS700 in 4k Raw with an Odyssey 7 SSD recorder, as well as using Arri Skypanels for lighting and lots of smoke machines.

I edited with Adobe Premiere and composited with After Effects. Graded with Baselight by Robin Doelly.

Lighting, effects, co DOP and co producer: Jamie Parkin
