Protonemesis

Protonemesis is my first short. Against all odds we managed to complete the shoot in under 12 hours, and subsequently it was selected in a number of international film festivals, including the prestigious Boston Sci Fi festival, which I was able to attend. The star of the film, Otto Liu who had never acted before ended up winning ‘Best Young Actor’ at the Birmingham Film Festival.

The film uses a mixture of in-camera, and CGI effects, but very little dialogue, as I wanted the music, lighting, and camera, to do the heavy lifting.

As post production over ran, (due to a flaky Apple MacBook Pro GPU no longer supporting Adobe), the music composer was unavailable, and so I took on sound track and sound design duties as well.
